a
12-Month temporary contract,
for a
Corporate Risk Officer
within the Financial Services department.
The successful candidate will
assist in the overall management and development of the risk
management service,
ensure
compliance
with: best value principles, legislation, Council policy and
procedures (including Financial Regulations and Standing Orders
relating to Contracts, Equality & Diversity and Health and
Safety), appropriate guidance from appropriate professional bodies
e.g. CIPFA, ALARM, and the Council's Corporate Planning and
Performance Management Framework, thereby assisting the Council in
the sound management of its resources.
A minimum of
2
years experience
within
risk management, insurance, or internal audit environment
essential, or equivalent skills.

My client requires an experienced Chief Risk Officer to
establish the
risk function within this rapidly expanding Islamic Bank.
Ideally you should have 10+ years experience within the Risk
field, including a proven track record as Chief Risk Officer.
Your
experience should include all risk streams
Credit/ Operational and Market Risk, where Credit and
operational are the primary areas of focus.
The role
requires you to take accountability for
compliance with the Basel II accord so it is imperative
that you have experience of ensuring compliance with this, ideally
within the region.
On a day
to day basis you will be establishing an infrastructure, putting
in place policies and procedures, manage the various risk work
